Just in the past few weeks Soltesz, Inc. was recognized at the groundbreakings for two monumental Montgomery County projects. Soltesz is proud of our services and relationships that have helped bring these projects to fruition.
Viva White Oak
Soltesz was recognized for their contributions for the VIVA White Oak project at the groundbreaking celebration on October 22, 2018. The event was attended by Governor Hogan, Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen, County Executive Ike Leggett, many other elected officials and key business people who collaborated on bringing this project to Montgomery County. County Executive Ike Leggett noted the tremendous effort put forth by Soltesz toward making this project a reality. Soltesz is providing all of the planning, civil engineering, environmental, landscape architecture, and surveying services necessary to shepherd this complex project through the Montgomery County land development process.
VIVA White Oak is the largest new development in Montgomery County and the State of Maryland. The 300-acre community will accommodate more than 12,000,000 square feet and include the Life Science City of the Future in Montgomery County. The VIVA Project is adjacent to the new Washington Adventist Hospital and to the Consolidated FDA Site. This important project will include thousands of new homes, retail businesses, entertainment and educational facilities, parks, hotel and conference center, as well as millions of square feet of office and research facilities for world-renowned biomedical companies. With the FDA serving as an adjacent anchor for the entire project, this mixed-use property will provide a key opportunity for people to live and work in this exciting Montgomery County community.
Clarksburg Sewer Extension
Soltesz was recognized at the groundbreaking of the Clarksburg Sewer Extension Project with the Montgomery County Department of General Services On November 1, 2018. Speakers included County Executive Ike Leggett; County Coucilmember, District 2, Craig Rice; Director, Department of General Services, David Dise; and Fire Chief, Fire and Rescue Service, Scott Goldstein. Soltesz recently completed the civil design for this high priority project to provide approximately 3,800 feet of proposed gravity sewer to the Clarksburg Historic District, and surrounding properties. The proposed sanitary sewer main will be located on MD-355, MD-121 and Spire Street. The sewer will drain into the proposed pump station located on the nearby Mile/Coppola property. The pump station is currently under design by WSSC. The proposed sanitary main will also provide sewer service to the new fire station off of MD-355.
