The Challenge
Soltesz provided complete site engineering for an addition to an existing Army Distaff Nursing Home located in Washington, DC.
Services included surveying, site planning, storm drainage, paving, water and sanitation sewer design, sediment control, stormwater management design, as well as processing of approvals through Washington, DC agency processing and bid specifications.
This project involved close coordination with the architect/engineer team to design the building in a forested setting with minimal tree removal. The stormwater management facility included a sand/gravel filtering medium in the base for enhanced water quality treatment.
