Prince George’s County is well on its way to meeting the goal for improving the quality of stormwater management practices and Soltesz is honored to be the engineer delivering those acres. Twenty-four sites and 108 Best Management Practices (BMP) have been certified to treat 354 impervious acres! Rain gardens, sand filters, bioswales, and bioretention facilities are just some of the stormwater BMPs installed at these sites. These recently completed installations will treat, manage and reduce stormwater runoff from roofs, parking lots and other impervious surfaces, which will reduce the amount of stormwater pollution that enters into the Chesapeake Bay. Soltesz is proud to be able to share the benefits of green infrastructure with our future leaders, as well as provide a better understanding for preserving our environment for the long-term.
